MANZIL is an educational organization headed by the youth of Pakistan. We believe in mobilizing the youth and utilizing their skills and intelligence for an educated Pakistan.

Manzil was founded in 2002 by Shazia Mirza who was affected by the numerous
deaths that were taking place in the slum area around the railway tracks in
Karachi. Her pocket money was the catalyst to start a small school by the
railway tracks, thus keeping the little children out of harm’s way into
a safe environment.

Pakistan’s literacy rate is 49.9%. We aim to raise it to 55% by 2016.
Our objective is to establish free educational institutions all over Pakistan.
We aim to establish not just schools but have an impact on the quality of
the national educational system. We will harness the energies of youth, for
Pakistan, both at home and abroad.
